The Real McCoy’s Rough Out Leather Western Jacket Brown
Arguably the finest Americana reproduction brand from Japan, the Real McCoy’s painstakingly recreate and update original garments for the modern day offering the best from the past, replicated to perfection without compromise in Japan.
The Roughout Leather Western Jacket from The Real McCoy’s is heavily inspired by the rough out leather Trucker Jacket’s made by Levi’s (and numerous other American brands) in 1963, after the introduction of the Denim Trucker Jacket (557 xx) by Levi’s in 1962.Â
This version from McCoy’s is crafted in Japan from a split Cowhide, in order to maintain thickness and durability in the split leather, precise cuts are made to avoid overlapping, and the leather is then meticulously hammered down during production. This is a lightweight and breathable leather that will be a joy to wear.Â
The Leather Western Jacket also features the signature Trucker style stitching to the front as well as two symmetrical angled flap chest pockets with custom McCoy’s dot buttons. A vegetable tanned horsehide leather collar (the same is used for McCoy’s A-2 leather flight jackets) has been paired with a dot button front and to reinforce the Western theme the jacket is finished with cuff less sleeves.Â
