Ripstop Jungle Jacket 1970 – Large Short
First issued in 1963, the Tropical Combat Uniform was designed for use in warmer climates and specifically for use by troops in the conflict in Vietnam, in which the US was becoming embroiled.
There are three major patterns of the Topical Combat Jacket, more commonly known as the ‘Jungle Jacket’; though the ‘third pattern’ issued in 1967 was the final iteration and the simplest design.
Constructed in a OG-107 cotton rip-stop, the jungle jacket has become a wardrobe staple and easy-wearing, everyday, practical item of vintage clothing, with a lot of history and a lot of style.
