Pherrow’s Hand Knitted Cardigan Indigo
An instant favourite from Pherrow’s for this Autumn/Winter is their series of knitwear, including their Cowichan Cardigans. These are hand-knitted in Nepal using a low-gauge 100% wool yarn.
Drawing inspiration from the Cowichan style of knitting, originally made by the Cowichan people of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The style became popular with tourists and people out side of the Cowichan community in the 1920’s. Usually made in Grey, Cream or Black, Cowichan Cardigans feature geometric and Native American motifs on the back and front and have inspired many brands to reproduce this classic design.Â
