At the start of 2023, McLaren F1 team was the slowest car on the grid. Despite the talents of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, after the first few races McLaren F1 Team sat last in the teams championship.
Fast forward 44 races and the Papaya team have done the impossible and completely turned their results around to take the Constructors’ World Championship! This incredible feat can be attributed to every single member of the Woking team and their hard work and determination to get McLaren back to winning ways!
Besides a stand out performance at Monza in 2021, no McLaren driver has seen the top step of the podium during the turbo hybrid era – until this year where both drivers have managed multiple race wins! Zak Brown and Lando Norris have been integral in rebuilding the team back to its former self – and that hardwork is seemingly coming to fruition!
