Lewis Hamilton – one of the most iconic names on the F1 grid, and for good reason. The young Brit entered the grid and instantly smashed expectation, giving one of the best rookie performances ever seen, climbing to the top of the list for the most wins, pole positions and podium finishes.
The 2014 season was an exciting one for driver, Lewis Hamilton, and his fans. Hamilton had a season of consistent success, winning 11 out of 19 races throughout, including the British Grand Prix – his home race. With his many race wins, and multiple other podium finishes, he accumulated quite the points tally and ultimately took home the Championship Title, which was already the second of his career but his first with Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
The season also saw an exciting on-track rivalry between Hamilton and his then teammate, Nico Rosberg, which became a defining feature of the season – but Hamilton truly came out on top, becoming the first British driver to win multiple Formula 1 World Championships since Jackie Stewart.
