Jelado A-1 Brighton Jacket Camel
The Blanket Pattern design has become somewhat synonymous with Jelado over recent years, perfectly recreating vintage style blanket patterns from the 1920’s & 30’s. The Salem series was originally woven in a black blanket pattern but this AW21 sees an intricate new colour-way introduced.Â
This blanket pattern has been woven in Japan on vintage jacquard looms, operated by one small factory near Bishu, a historic region in the Aichi prefecture where wool manufacturing and production has a deep rooted history. Staying true to the design pattern of their original Salem knit from 2018, the A-1 Brighton Jacket comes in an intricate two tone navy and off white colour-way, seamlessly blending two coloured threads together.Â
The Brighton Jacket has been cut to the shape of the classic A-1 style jacket, but unlike military issue has been tweaked for a civilian market both in design and functionality. Rooted in 1930’s styling, the Brighton features a button front using cat eye shell buttons and has been paired with two slash pockets and button cuff closures. Two side adjusters allow fit to be adjusted while the intricate Salem pattern blanket weave encapsulates the original 20’s pattern.Â
