Full Count S2107 WWII Brown Cotton Denim Jacket
Having undertaken some new design and brand development over the past couple of seasons, Full Count are back with their latest collection as well as standard items blending timeless design with come unique and classic twists.
This season’s WWII set-up from Full Count uses a 13.7 oz brown Zimbabwean cotton, the same weight as their standard offering but with a brown weft that will result in different colouring & wear over time.
The S2107 is modelled on a 1940’s WWII era Type 1 Denim Jacket, with paired back features found throughout the jacket produced ‘for the duration’. In particular, this jacket tries to replicate the simplified design adopted by Levis for their Type 506xx jacket during the war; removing the pocket flap and a button from the front placket. The S2107 also incorporates a rare ‘T’ back design found on larger jackets from around this time for sizes 44 & 46.
The buttons used are of the war time spec ‘one star’ design found on most military and civilian clothing during this time. These have oxidised and aged giving them a vintage like patina. The S2107 also features narrow stitching on the pleats, unstamped rivets & the sewing throughout is ‘semi-finished’. The threads have been left loose and uncut, demonstrating war-time manufacturing and production. These can be cut or left as is by the wearer.
