Buzz Rickson’s M-51 Field Trousers Olive
These M-51 Field Trousers from Buzz Rickson’s are inspired by the U.S. Army Korean and Vietnam War Era M-1951 Field Trousers (Trousers, Shell, Field M-1951), but these pants are made their own by Buzz Rickson’s detailing and design.Â
Cut in Japan from a heavy-duty cotton back satin, these reproduction trousers are packed full of detailing found in these originally issued trousers. These were first introduced for cold weather combat and involved multiple layers and using these on top alongside the cotton field jacket.Â
With cold weather in mind a loose fit is utilised to trap body heat and provide insulation against the external elements. All components are true to original trousers and feature mil spec brass zip and mil spec urea buttons while the snap buttons are U.S. Government Department of Defence spec. Two large side entry pockets with flap closure have been paired with two rear snap button pockets while there are two side welted pockets.Â
