Anatomica USN Flight Jacket Navy

This USN Flight Jacket is basically the J-7758A, developed from the early 1940’s where the model AN-J-2/Spec. AN-6551 was first developed and used as a lightweight cotton flight jacket. This was later developed postwar and was changed to MIL-J-7758A and continued to be in use throughout the 1950’s and well into the 60’s.
This version of the USN Flight Jacket from Anatomica is based on the lightweight iteration, issued to US Navy Flight Pilots in the 1950’s. It was around this time that for Summer weight jackets, the ‘Army Cloth’ was introduced, cotton poplin.Â
This ‘Army Cloth’ or cotton poplin has excellent breathability and a smooth texture, making it the ideal Summer weight jacket. The jacket is fully equipped with utilitarian goodness with four front pockets, each with pocket flap and button closure.  A small pen pocket on the sleeve with bi-swing back pleats and a half belt back provide a superior fit.Â
