Yuketen Pancho Boot Golden Brown Suede
Something a little different from the well-known Yuketen offerings!Â
These Pancho Boots from Yuketen are entirely hand-cut, hand-lasted and bench made in Mexico with good year-welted construction using traditional, old school American boot-making techniques.Â
These boots are handcrafted from a soft tanned silky cow suede upper lined with soft-tanned cow leather for added comfort and durability. An equally fundamental component of this style is the sturdy foundation that is constructed of multiple layers of hand-shaved 100% veg-tan leather insole, welt, outsole and heel.Â
The back of the leather insole is shaved up by hand to make a rib for stitching the welt, which is a meticulous detail of a genuine traditional shoe making technique results in making a long-lasting life to the shoe that those with a strip of preformed canvas-like rib.Â
The other important component used in the construction is the lemonwood pegs that are hand-hammered into the bottom of the outsoles to secure the stuck heel. The lemonwood pegs are more malleable than brass nails as they expand when exposed to water and contract with moisture at almost an identical rate as leathers.
