Orgueil Persimmon Juice Jacket Khaki
An offshoot of “Osaka Five” member, Studio D’artisan, Orgueil offer collections inspired by early 20th century workwear designs.
Inspired by the Heian period in Japan, Orgueil utilise a traditional Japanese dyeing technique using persimmon fruit, known as Kakishibu dyeing. This is a traditional Japanese dye/paint of deep amber colour which comes from unripe persimmons that have been fermented and aged for more than 2 years.Â
This classic Sack Jacket style is a staple in the Orgueil collections, utilising different fabrics every season.  Inspired by an early 1900’s Sack Jacket, Orgueil’s version is an elegant piece of old world workwear history.Â
Cut in Japan from 100% cotton, the jacket features intricate workwear style tailoring designs throughout. Other features include a button front, and a single chest pocket while there are two larger patch pockets and single ticket pocket that are both slightly round, showing off Orgueil’s unique approach to design and manufacturing.
