One Ear Brand Soiree Rose Petale Bandana
Started by Osaka based Bandana connoisseur, Jonathan Lukacek, the One Ear Brand aims to be much more than just a bandana brand. Using custom made fabrics, One Ear Bandanas are made entirely in Japan, printed one at a time meaning that each is slightly different from the last. Inspired by the big “Turkey Red” bandanas of the 1800’s, these bandanas are designed for more than just accenting an outfit; they make great Eco-Bags, Face Masks, Scarves, Furoshiki (Traditional Japanese Wrapping Cloths), Head Wraps and much more. With the Bandana as her canvas each piece is drawn by one artist, Japanese- American- Yurika Cherise Shikai.
Based on the idea that a Soiree is not just a party but a chance to practice your etiquette and social form, the latest design from One Ear Brand is born, elegant but cool. The initial base for this design is a pearl necklace spider web, and the short story of “The Spiders Thread”. A Japanese Buddhist-moral parable about selfishness. The hand symbols are taken from Mudras, a symbolic or ritual gesture found in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. To top it all off the border is adorned with symbols taken from the Odd Fellows, each with their own different meaning.
